Steve Bierfeldt
Steve BierfeldtSteve Bierfeldt graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sacred Heart University in
Fairfield, Connecticut in 2006. Soon afterward he moved to Arlington,
Virginia and began work as National Field Director for the Leadership
Institute, an organization with the expressed mission to “Identify,
recruit, train and place conservative in politics, government and the
media.”

Under Steve’s direction, the Leadership Institute’s Field Program aided conservative college organizations in all 50 states and provided more than 4.5 million college students with access to a conservative organization on their campus

In March of 2008 Steve was asked to manage the campaign for Amit Singh, a Republican candidate for US Congress in Virginia’s 8th District. The campaign focused on the principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, strong national defense and personal freedoms.

Steve has spoken at dozens of campuses throughout the country and has trained students at a number of seminars and conventions. Some of these include California Students for Life’s “Celebrate Life Conference,” the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington DC, (CPAC) and numerous Leadership Institute “Student Activism Conferences.” Steve is currently working for the Campaign for Liberty, an organization which serves as the continuation of the principles set forth by Ron Paul in his Presidential campaign. The Campaign for Liberty strives to educate and empower activists to promote the God-given rights of life, liberty, and property as set forth in the United States Constitution.  Steve currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.

Francisco Gonzalez

Francisco GonzalezFrancisco Gonzalez is the Director of Development for The James Madison Institute, Florida’s premier free-market think-tank, based in Tallahassee, FL. A native Floridian, Francisco graduated cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in history. Francisco earned an M.A. in history from the University of Maryland, where he also founded and was managing editor of The Terrapin Times, an award-winning conservative student newspaper.

From 2004-2007, Francisco was Director of Membership and Campus Leadership for the Intercollegiate Studies Institute in Wilmington, Delaware. At ISI, Francisco traveled to more than 30 states, helping conservative students and faculty members on hundreds of college campuses to start and organize groups focused on promoting our nation’s founding principles. These groups ranged from free-market economics reading clubs, to active conservative campus groups, to forums that hosted speakers committed to furthering the principles of individual liberty and limited government and intellectually battling against the dangerous ideologies of collectivism and moral relativism. In 2007, Francisco joined ISI’s development team, working to gain support for ISI’s mission “to educate for liberty” on college campuses.

Through his work in the conservative movement, Francisco has appeared on MSNBC and C-SPAN, and has twice spoken at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the largest annual gathering of conservatives in Washington, D.C. His articles have also been published at conservativebattleline.com, centerforajustsociety.org, campusmagazine.org, and numerous other outlets. In June 2007, Francisco “filled in” for Presidential candidate, Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), speaking on behalf of the Senator at the annual New Hampshire Republican Party dinner in Manchester. In January 2008, Francisco moved back to his beloved home state of Florida to join the James Madison Institute.

Brendan Steinhauser

Brendan SteinhauserBrendan Steinhauser is the Director of Federal and State Campaigns for FreedomWorks. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas, where he led the UT chapter of The Young Conservatives of Texas. Brendan received university honors and was inducted into the National Society for Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honour Society.

While at UT, Brendan studied International Relations and American and European History. He was a staff writer for two Collegiate Network journals: The Austin Review and Contumacy. He founded Students for American Values and co-founded Students for a Colorblind America at UT, and was subsequently awarded the Free Republic Collegiate Eagle Award. Brendan worked as a reporter for GalleryWatch.com and spent one summer as an intern at the Texas House of Representatives.

Upon graduation, Brendan published his book The Conservative Revolution: How to Win the Battle for College Campuses. The book is a guide for student leaders who want to organize conservative clubs on their own campuses. The book’s ideas for recruitment, events and public relations have impacted students on hundreds of college campuses across the country.

Brendan is an alumnus of both the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and the Leadership Institute. He was a co-founder of the ISI Alumni Network in Washington, D.C. and is a frequent guest lecturer at the LI Youth Leadership Schools. Brendan continues to advise student groups throughout the country, including chapters of The Young Conservatives of Texas, Students for Saving Social Security, College Republicans and Protest Warrior.

Brendan’s articles on various topics have appeared in Human Events, TownHall.com, Enter Stage Right, Front Page Magazine, The Daily Texan, The San Antonio Review, Intellectual Conservative.com, FreedomWorks.org, CommonConservative.com, The Houston Review, GOPUSA.com and Exotic Wildlife Magazine. His personal website is TheConservativeRevolution.com. Brendan resides in Alexandria, Virginia but says his heart remains in Texas.
